With more than 20 years experience in the Fashion industry, I have covered many areas, now being Print/ Art Director for one of the most promising Junior brands in the US, Pink Rose Clothing, sold in Kohls, TJMaxx, Macys, etc. I supervise all aspects related to print design, from creating detail trend packages for color and print direction to guiding design team into final product.
Overseeing any and all production issues with factories overseas and always coming up with a solution.
Also responsible for recruiting new talent, even attending career fairs at major NYC fashion schools.
I started in the kids fashion industry even before graduating college, given an amazing opportunity to be a graphic artist for one of the top children's brands, GUESS kids. Immediately my great creative skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn made me a great team player, characterized specifically by reinventing the kids brand every season but still staying true to the remarkable GUESS look.
After 10 years experience on the graphics field I changed pace and started an Assistant Designer Job for GUESS boys, this opportunity expanded my skills and ability greatly, being able to learn how to spec a garment, fabric knowledge and how to make styling decisions based on price, trend and coordination with the rest of the fashion line. I was specifically keen on bringing brand new trends to the boys product, by doing extensive research of what to update so it would be relevant and still very sellable.
My last endeavor with GUESS kids was senior graphic artist/ assistant designer for Outlet, this experience gave me an overall look at how to make an affordable garment but still make it look great. I designed one of the best sellers of all time for Guess Girls outlet, a sequins panda bear that blew out in one week in the stores, and after that success I had to design different versions of the same idea to keep bringing in big numbers.
